heat pumps for heating and cooling

Welcome to the future of household heating, cooling and hot water….yes, heat pumps can cool your home too. With the correct hardware and design you can keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

We will begin the heat pump design process for your home, based around an estimated heat loss obtained from your initial contact and EPC, from this we can offer an initial price estimate so you can see if the cost of having a heat ump installed is a sensible choice for. At this stage it is worth knowing that all heat pump installations qualify for zero VAT. This can help when comparing costs to a new or replacement boiler which do not qualify for zero VAT.

Did you know that heat pumps can actively cool your home when paired with the correct emitters? Whilst it can work using underfloor heating and radiators, we only offer the cooling function with dedicated hardware that can offer "active" cooling. underfloor heating and radiators do not offer this and is often considered the less effective route to cooling due to the useful flow temperatures they achieve this. Dedicated cooling hardware is superior in every way.

Many are of the impression that heat pumps are unsuitable for older or poorly insulated homes which is a common, although incorrect belief.

In reality, it is all about the correct system design and importantly, how the system is controlled.

We love Advanced Weather Compensation here and you will too when you are toasty warm in your low carbon home.

There are many Surrey homes moving to heat pumps and solar as a combination, to help future proof their property.

It all begins with a heat loss survey to allow us to know what kilowatt output heat pump is needed to heat and cool your home and deliver hot water correctly.

Then the design proper, can begin. We design for a 99.6% perecentile outdoor temperature, which means you will always be warm (many design to the 99% percentile which is more likely to leave you struggling in the dead of winter) and every pipe, emitter, fitting and control is carefully considered, bespoke to your property.
