Your Air Source Heat Pump, like your gas boiler or car, requires annual servicing to maintain your manufacturer warranty. Should you ever need to claim on your warranty and do not have proof of this annual servicing requirement, the manufacturer may refuse your claim. Parts can be VERY expensive so it is in your interest to keep on top of the annual servicing!
It ensures the heat pump filters, sensors, controls and hardware are cleaned, inspected and tested to keep it running to it’s most efficient levels. A full service will also note any possible issues with the heating system as a whole, this is often over looked by traditional service engineers, as is the safety leak test for refrigerant gases, some of which are very explosive. Leaks must be found.

How Much is an Air Source Heat Pump Service?
Prices vary considerably depending on who you ask and the area you are in. Our services begin at £199. If you have a cascaded heat pump system (more than one heat pump) then that will take longer and the price will increase (often £249 but depends on the individual heat pump).
Is My Hot Water Cylinder Service Included in the Price?
Most people are unaware that their new hot water cylinder also has a warranty and is a separate item from the heat pump but also requires an annual service to maintain the manufacturers warranty!
Only a certified engineer can service an unvented hot water cylinder, not all engineers have the appropriate certifications.
If you would like us to carry out the annual hot water cylinder service whilst we are on site, we can do that for an additional fee, usually in the region of £50. Just book it at the same time as the heat pump service.
Do I Get a Service Document?
Yes, you will receive not only a service sheet but we will also verify the service in your owners manual (if you still have it)!
