Heating system cleaning and flushing.

Heating systems rust and corrode. This leads to a build up of a black sludge called magnetite which essentially blocks your radiators and boilers heat exchanger, which in turn forces your boiler/heat pump to work harder and for longer.

A dirty system is a costly system.

This can cause all sorts of problems for your boiler and has been known to doom a boiler to an early grave if there is no filter in place.

Magnetic filter installation is standard on all our installations to help prevent this.

A full system clean is an in depth process of draining all the water from the system, adding a new filter into the existing pipework where possible and begin cleaning the entire installation.

We then add a cleaning agent into the pipework, refill and heat the system to circulate the cleaner.

Whilst this is circulating we use an agitator to essentially hammer the radiators and loosen the debris build up.

As the debris is loosened by agitation, heat and cleaning agent it is circulated throughout the system, removed from your radiators and eventually caught within the filter.

Voila, we clean the filters, disconnect our cleaning equipment and you end up with a more efficient and effective heating installation.

Which is now also less expensive to run.

Frequently asked questions

You may experience poor heat output from your radiators no matter how hot your boiler is set or how wide open you have your TRV. This is a tell tale sign they need help.

If you haven't had your central heating system cleaned in the last 10 years we recommend that you do so to prolong the life of your boiler with less dirt flowing through it and by allowing it to work less hard.

A boiler that works less aggressively to combat dirt in the system is a boiler that lasts longer.
